About Us

Oxygen BulkClark R. Middaugh started this company in 1978 after working for other local, Bay Area companies such as AG Pond, Victor Equipment and Gerin Welding Supply. He founded the company on the premise that a small distributor could better respond to the service needs of individual end users. He was a life member of the American Welding Society and was always in contact with manufacturers about new industry products. He took pride in providing customers with the most up-to-date product and procedural information.

David R. Middaugh grew up in the welding industry, learning from his father and the "hands on" approach. After graduating from California Polytechnic University in 1993, David returned to the Bay Area to continue working alongside his father in the family business. David has completed many manufacturer training seminars pertaining to welding machines and materials. His 31 years of experience in the industry have provided a strong understanding and working knowledge of many welding and gas applications. David continues to act on the belief that an independent distributor provides better customer service than a bigger corporation with its automated call centers. Personalization makes the difference.

A Man WeldingBruce Cotter has worked for a few independent distributors throughout his 42-year career in the welding industry. He has focused primarily on the proactive approach to customer service. He has made himself available to specialized customers around the clock and involved himself in large-production and automated welding applications. Lately, he has been instrumental in the installation of various types of specialty gas and liquefied cryogenic products at customer locations associated with the laser-cutting industry.

Chuck Roudabush has worked in the welding industry for 13 years and has been with Clark Industrial Supply Inc. for three years. Having worked his way up from the bottom, he truly understands the meaning of follow-up with our customers. Chuck has technical training in a variety of welding and cutting applications. He has successfully completed courses from a professor at the College of San Mateo in MIG welding, TIG welding, stick welding, silver brazing, reading welding symbols, fundamentals of electricity and oxygen / fuel cutting, as well as welding equipment manufacturers’ training courses.

Larry Hutton has worked for Clark Industrial Supply Inc. for 10 years. He started as a delivery driver learning about the industry and worked his way up the ladder to become an inside sales person and store manager. His working knowledge of welding and material processing has helped him solve some of our customers’ more unique challenges.
